SCANRAY®

SCANRAY® is a portable wireless digital radiography system available in several specifications with different pixel pitch and active area sizes to fit the exact needs in non-destructive testing: from welds and corrosion inspection in the oil and gas industry to the most demanding quality control of components in the shipbuilding, aerospace and military spheres. The complex is designed for detecting defects in the structure of various materials using the NDT method with X-ray or Gamma-ray sources. Radiographic images obtained by the detector are transmitted to the operator's tablet or laptop in real time or accumulated in the internal detector's memory for later downloading.

Customized solutions (for example, semi-automatic systems for extended longitudinal welds inspection of reservoirs, ship bottoms and other large-distance joints) and additional accessories for special needs (brackets, holders, tripods, manipulators, etc.) are available upon request.

Advantages of the SCANRAY® system:
A range of detectors with different active area sizes and pixel pitch based on a variety of matrix and scintillator technologies allows for solving an extensive spectrum of tasks in the field of industrial non-destructive testing. Customized solutions, such as dynamic panels or even smaller pixel sizes, are available upon request.
The high detectors' sensitivity and the broad dynamic range allow testing of objects in operation (product presence inside the pipes, installed outer insulation layer, etc.). Additional protection (supplied separately) can be used in non-standard applications, for example, NDT of hot control objects up to 250 degrees Celsius or underwater radiographic inspection.
The detector can be powered by both AC and replaceable batteries, making the system portable and convenient to use.
The included extra set of batteries allows for performing non-stop inspection even 24/7.
System components are protected from the influence of external factors such as direct ingress of moisture and dust (IP67) and have high mechanical strength during installation and transportation.
A well-thought-out protective cover included in the standard supply package dampens possible impacts when placing the detecting unit on the control object. Using the case will protect the detector from falling from up to 2 m height providing enhanced durability to the system at no extra cost.
Built-in radiation sensor allows taking images automatically after the start of the exposure, leading to increased productivity and minimizing the human factor.
Internal memory saves images when the connection to the operator's station (PC or tablet) is disturbed. No data will be lost during the working shift.
The flat-panel digital detectors can work with constant-potential, half-sine and pulsed X-ray generators, as well as Gamma sources of different activity level.
The comprehensive contents of delivery allow for working “from the box”. Supplementary accessories can be used for quick and convenient positioning of digital detector on the control object.
The system fully meets ISO/ASTM/ASME standards requirements and provides images of the highest quality.
